[Updated] Goth Needs a New Maintainer

--

UPDATE: The project now has several active maintainers. Thank you to everyone who reached out.

A few years ago I released one of my first Go packages, https://github.com/markbates/goth. Goth (and Gothic) is a package for allowing authentication using third party apps like GitHub, Twitter, FaceBook, etc…

Over the years the library has grown to support over three dozen different authentication providers! That’s amazing! I couldn’t be more proud of this little library.

With all that said, these days my attention lays elsewhere, and I don’t have the time to spend on this beautiful little package any longer.

To that end I am announcing my retirement from maintaining Goth any longer. I can’t give it the attention it deserves, and that is wrong. It’s an important package for the community.

Goth Needs You!

Since I will no longer be responding to issues, PRs, etc… on the project, I would like to find a new maintainer, or maintainers, ASAP.

If you, or better yet, your organization rely on Goth for your applications, please reach out, Goth needs your help.
